our story

Brassica Kitchen + Café was founded by the Whisk pop-up team, providing creative and comfortable cuisine to our beautiful community in Forest Hills.

By day we are Brassica Cafe, serving good coffee & homemade donuts.

Evenings Wednesday - Saturday we are Brassica Kitchen, a spot for fermentation forward food & drink with an emphasis on low waste and seasonal local ingredients.

We are a passionate team obsessed with exploring, creating, & sharing. Our hospitality is casual, friendly, and honest. Come see us, it might just be your thing.

Admin & BENEFITS Fee

In order to address wage disparity in the restaurant industry, and create a more equitable space for all, in lieu of traditional gratuity, we have adopted a 20% Administrative Fee & 3% Benefits Fee to be shared amongst the entirety of our staff, and provide them with benefits standard to any other industry. We strongly believe that everyone’s labor is valuable and should be treated as such.

We thank you for the opportunity to allow us to explain our goals, transparently and honestly. We believe in taking care of and sharing in our local community — and the first stop is within our own borders.

We wanna party with you! We are a small space, but we have tons of options for you, from in-house buyouts to drop-offs or pick-ups! If you are interested in having us host your event, check out the link below!

Reservations

We’re a pretty small space, and not to brag or anything, but we’ve got a bunch of friends,

so we always encourage reservations if you’d like to come hang out with us for brunch or dinner service!

We do have a little room for walk-ins if you can’t snag your ideal time, but we suggest you come early if you wanna claim it!
